The Historic Center of Javea, is a beautiful place to visit. Javea is a small town on the Costa Blanca, with narrow streets and old buildings. Old town and magnificent market hall
Javea offers many possibilities and the old town with its local shops still has all kinds of curiosities to discover. Small clothing stores, original shoe stores, florists, leather goods or kiosks, there is everything in the old town. Not forgetting to mention the magnificent market hall with its multitude of stalls selling meat, fish, ham, vegetables, bread and other groceries. The food market is a tradition in Javea, sometimes just to have a beer or a wine after work and chat a bit.
Many locals come to the historic center of Javea and give the market place its colors. Located directly on the town hall square with the large church next to it. Javea Old Town is for those who want to experience true Spanish life. You can see that many people work and live there, and everyone is also used to mingling with tourists. It is easy to find many original tapas bars with a long tradition in the center of Jávea.
The church in the old town is usually open and you can often attend weddings, communions or other services there. Right in front of the church are two old cannons, which have undoubtedly been photographed in many vacation photos. Also, right next door is the town hall with its multitude of offices and official banners and flags. Just make a stop, sit in one of the nice bars and watch typical spanish life style.
