Moraira is a small, cozy town on the Spanish Costa Blanca, close to Calpe and about 75 km from Alicante airport and 110 km from Valencia airport. This beautiful city consisting of charming Moraira and Teulada is located on the Blanca coast and has two beautiful sandy beaches (L’Ampolla and Playa del Portet) and 8 km of rocky coast and bays. Moraira offers different residential areas where you can find luxury holiday villas, holiday homes, villas and holiday apartments for rent.
The coastal town Moraira on the Costa Blanca is part of the municipality of Teulada and is known for its tranquility and its beautiful, traditional fishing port, but also for the large marina. At the end of the 18th century, when Teulada, which is located further inland of the country, was still a farming town, its crops were exported through natural ports.
As time went by, people began to settle next to their workplace and began to dedicate themselves more and more to fishing. This was the beginning of the town that is known today as charming Moraira. With an average temperature of 18ºC and an average of 320 days of sunshine per year, Moraira is a perfect destination all year round.
Part of the beaches Moraira also has interesting places to visit such as Moraira Castle. This fortress is located on a rock on L’Apolla beach, you cannot miss it. It was built in the 18th century and was built to protect against attacks by barbarian pirates. The unusual form is known as an ox hoof. This is because the wall facing south has a semicircular shape and the one facing north is straight.

Or visit the “Mare Déu dels Desemparats” parish. This church was built between 1875 and 1878 and is located in the center of Moraira. The church has a rectangular shape and inside it is quite simple apart from the painting of the Virgen de los Desemparados and two beautiful mosaics.
Cap d’Or Watchtower is located at the highest point of Cap d’Or on the edge of the cliff. And a tower is solid and has no entrance door, to climb a ladder made of ropes was hung from above. Everything to defend Moraira against the Berber pirates.
